Lindsey #7

Lindsey went with a Hello Kitty theme again this year.   Since the last Hello Kitty party was in our old neighborhood she had a new batch of friends.  Only Ashlyn gets to have enjoy the repeat appearance of Hello Kitty.

They made Hello Kitty hats

They had their nails painted by Whitney & Makayla with Cassidy helping dry

They decorated mini cakes
They made bracelets
They went on a Find Hello Kitty treasure hunt

Since my kids don't need any more stuff, we decided to do birthday's a little different this year.  For each of their birthday's they are getting a room makeover as their gift from us.  Lindsey really wanted a pink room.  You can't tell very well from this picture, but the walls are a light pink, with a hot pink and purple stripe up top.  The ceiling is now white instead of tan.  We added some wall stickers, new curtains and pillows for her window seat.  Grandma and Grandma Ashby gave her new Hello Kitty sheets.  It is very pink!

St. Patty's Day Dinner

My kids are under the impression that our food must be green on St. Patty's Day.  I didn't really plan ahead this year, but came up with a few things I could dye for the occasion.  We had green milk (a must) asparagus, green risotto, and green jello.

Starry Night for $1.50

Grant came home from preschool and informed me that I needed to give him lots of money for his painting. I laughed, but didn't give him any money. When dad got home he told him the same story - "Look at my picture Dad, you need to give me lots of money." So, Dad went to his change jar and grabbed a handful and asked "Is this lots of money?" Grant smiled big and accepted the money and gave Dad the painting. I am assuming that his teacher was complimenting him on his work and said he could get lots of money for it. She was right. He made $1.50.
