Aloha Whitney

Whitney wanted to have a Hawaiian birthday party. We made flower lei's, bracelets, had smoothies and cupcakes, hula hoop contest. Since we were still in our apartment, we had our friend reserve the clubhouse by our new house for us so that we had somewhere to hold the party.

Fat Catz Bowling

The girls were starting school soon, so we decided to go up the canyon and have a picnic as a end of summer trip. Then we found out we had to choose cabinets by the end of the day - which was in Springville. So we thought, we could go to Springville, pick out the cabinets and then head up Hobble Creek Canyon. When we were done with the cabinets, the rain clouds had moved in and it was pouring rain. Plan B, (or was it C or D) we saw a sign for Fat Catz on our way with free kids bowling before 4pm so we headed into Provo and went bowling. We ate our picnic in the car on the way home. Not exactly the family trip we had planned, but we had fun nonetheless.

American Fork Canyon

We spent the afternoon/evening up American Fork Canyon with the Roberts Family. It is so close, yet we have never been there. It was nice to get out of the heat for a little while, relax and enjoy time with family. The kids enjoyed hiking around in the mountain behind our picnic spot. They had a path called the "Roller Coaster" that they went on over and over and over. They were so dirty when we got done that we had to send them straight to the bath tub. It took forever to get the mud out of their shoes.
