It was another year of fires in Herriman. This time it got a little too close for comfort. We are so thankful for the efforts of our firefighters that kept the fire from cresting the mountain. Aaron was out of town when the fire got real close. My kids were so nervous that I decided to take them to Heidi's house for the night. I went back to our house for a while and tried to put some stuff together, just in case. I also helped a few neighbors try and put some stuff together. It is amazing to stop and realize that most of your things are really not that important. Things can be replaced. It's the people in our lives that matter the most.
