First Day of School
Whitney started 2nd grade last Monday. She is loving her new teacher. I think this is going to be a much better year for her. Her teacher even called Aaron on his cell phone today to tell him how much she is enjoying Whitney in her class. I'm sure she called all the parents. It was a very nice extra touch that she didn't have to do, but did anyway. This is the only picture I took of her. She is too cool to have us walk her into school on the first day. It sure doesn't take long for them to get embarrassed by their parents.
Cassidy started kindergarten last Friday. When my sister asked her how she liked school, she said "I liked everything except one part." When asked what that one part was she said "We had to do work." Ah, Cassidy, this is going to be quite the adventure with you in school.
12 things I love about you
To celebrate our Anniversary we went out to dinner to the Cheesecake Factory. This is the first time I've eaten there, it was yum. We got two cheesecakes to go and headed up to Park City. We went to the Utah Symphony up at Deer Valley. They were playing Rhapsody in Blue, which is one of Aaron's favorite concerts. Listening to the symphony in the mountains is such a great experience. It rained during a lot of the concert, but I sure didn't complain. It is more fun snuggling up under an umbrella. We have been up there one other time and it is one of my favorite things to do. I love it. During intermission we pulled out the cheesecake, again yum.
On the farm
Our membership to Thanksgiving Point was expiring, so we made one last visit to the farm. We have loved having a membership for the past two years, but decided we needed a break for a year. You can only go there so much. I think I have decided to get a Zoo membership one year and then Thanksgiving Point membership the next. Then we don't get sick of going to the same place over and over again.
Here are a bunch of pictures. One of the problems with having 4 kids is that if you take one person's picture, then you have to take all of their pictures. I can't post just one person's picture, because there is no justice in that. So, it results in posts with lots of pictures.

I love the look on all three of their faces in these next photos. You can tell they are all thrilled to be riding a pony. I couldn't really take a picture of Grant on the pony and hold him there at the same time, so he is just going to have to deal with the injustice.

This baby pony was all of the kids favorite animal there. Adorable!

Logan Canyon
For our final hurrah before our summer was officially over we spent the weekend camping. We went with with my sister's family, my brother and his wife and my parents. We went to a campground in Logan Canyon. Besides the heat and the campsite right next to Highway 89, it was a great place. The kids had tons of fun with their cousins. Grant was in his element being outside exploring and getting dirty.

Podcast
Aaron created a podcast with the kids tonight. Yeah - we were that bored. It is about 8 minutes long.

Black Ridge Reservior
We went with our cousins last week to the new lake around here. The kids had a blast. I love all the sand and that the water isn't too deep for the kids to play in. I stole all these pictures from my SIL's blog because I forgot my camera and assigned her the offical photographer. I imagine we will be coming back here for many years to come.

Swimming Party
Each of the girls invited a friend over to swim in our backyard. They all had a blast outside. Whitney and Cassidy were out there for more than 4 hours - they got their first official major sunburn. I wasn't a very good mom - I forgot to reapply.
Sorry for all the pictures, but it is hard to choose which ones to post.
